Lynn “Roy” Judd

Lynn “Roy” Judd, 72, of Alvord, passed away peacfully, Friday, April 12, 2019.

Memorial service is 11 a.m, Monday, April 29, at Montague County Cowboy Church.

Cremation arrangements were provided by Alexander’s Midway in Springtown.

Roy was born Feb. 7, 1947, in Matador to Leonard Bryant Judd and Murtice Maureen Carpenter. He joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and served during the Vietnam War on the U.S.S. Independence as an aircraft handler. After the Navy, he was a truck driver for many years. He then worked as an aircraft refueler for Allied Aviation and was a member of the Local 513 Union. Roy enjoyed dancing, building and refinishing furniture, leather work and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughters, Kristy Tillman and husband, Douglas, of Forestburg and Kassie Montford and husband, Jarrod, of Bridgeport; sisters Linda Lowrance and husband, Edwin, Laura Bell and husband, Gary and Loretta Farrer and husband, Vernon, all of Nocona; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
