Guadalupe Galindo Herrera

Guadalupe Galindo Herrera, 72, of Decatur, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, in Decatur.

Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur is handling arrangements.

Guadalupe was born Jan. 4, 1947, in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico, to Ancelmo and Ildefonsa (Reina) Herrera. She married Melchor Galindo Montes Jan. 22, 1964, in Zaragoza. Guadalupe was a member of Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister Maria del Refugio Herrera Reyna.

She is survived by her husband of almost 55 years; children Fernando Javier Galindo, Arnulfo Galindo, Sergio Galindo, Baldemar Galindo and wife, Martha and Griselda Galindo-Vargas and husband, Antonio, all of Decatur; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and her sisters and brothers, Maria Teresita Herrera Reyna, Maria Anita Herrera Reyna, Ildefonsa Herrera Reyna, Pablo Herrera Reyna and Eusebio Herrera Reina.
