NORTHWEST TO ADJUST ATTENDANCE BOUNDARIES – Northwest ISD will open a new middle school and elementary in the fall, meaning it’s time to adjust attendance boundaries. During Monday’s school board meeting, Northwest ISD Superintendent Ryder Warren reported a committee will start the process of adjusting attendance zones during its first meeting Jan. 18. The committee will also meet Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 before making recommendations to Northwest ISD trustees. Adams Middle School, located near Eaton High School off U.S. 81/287 and Blue Mound Road, will open in August along with the district’s 18th elementary – Lizzie Curtis, north of U.S. 81/287 east of Farm Road 156 and south of Bonds Ranch Road. The committee will not be looking at moving boundaries for the district’s three high schools – Eaton, Northwest and Byron Nelson. The opening of Adams will change the boundaries for Rhome’s Chisholm Trail Middle School, along with Tidwell and Wilson in the Haslet area.
