LADY EAGLES ADVANCE – Decatur came away with a convincing sweep of Godley Tuesday, rolling to a 25-16, 25-17, 25-19 bi-district win in volleyball. Petrolia took down Chico 25-10, 25-21, 25-22 in the 2A Region II bi-district match. Boyd swept Henrietta 3-0 Monday, and Northwest lost to Birdville 3-1.

EARLY VOTING CONTINUES – Early voting for next week’s election continues 8 a.m.-5 p.m. today at the four early voting locations: the Wise County Elections Office, 200 S. Trinity St. in Decatur; Alvord City Hall, 215 W. Elm; the Boyd Community Center, 420 E. Morton Ave.; and the Bridgeport Law Enforcement Center, 1000 Thompson St. Yesterday, another 1,368 early votes were cast.

BLOOD DRIVE – Wise Health System will sponsor a blood drive 8 a.m.-5:45 p.m. Thursday at the hospital’s main campus. For information call Melissa Richardson at 940-626-0167.

CHURCH TRUNK OR TREAT – Morris Memorial United Methodist Church of Chico will host Trunk or Treat 6-7:30 tonight in the church parking lot. The event includes hot dogs, candy and treats.

AIR EVAC EVENT – Air Evac will hold a membership appreciation event 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wise County Fairgrounds. The event will include a CPR demonstration, live music from Dakota Burns and a food truck. A medical helicopter and the crew will be on hand for questions and photos.

THANKSGIVING DINNER – The Bridgeport Camp and Conference Center, 3280 FM 2952, will hold a Community Thanksgiving Dinner 5-8 p.m. Nov. 6. Pre-sale tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children 5-10 and are available at the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce, First United Methodist in Decatur and the Bridgeport Camp. Today is the deadline. SUIT UP AND SAY BOO – Suit Up and Say Boo, the annual trick or treat event in downtown Bridgeport, is 5-6 p.m. today. Mayor Randy Singleton will lead the trick or treaters down the sidewalks as they trick or treat with the Halsell Street merchants. Line up for trick or treating begins at 5 p.m. at the Arcadia Theater in downtown Bridgeport.

BOYD TRUNK OR TREAT – Boyd Community Trunk or Treat is 5:30-8 p.m. today at Boyd High School. It will feature a hay ride, cake walk, games, candy and contests with prizes including best costume and best decorated trunk.

RHOME TRUNK OR TREAT – The 4th Annual Trunk or Treat sponsored by the Rhome Volunteer Fire Department is 6-8 p.m. today at Rhome Family Park. If you plan on participating, vehicles must be parked by 5:45 p.m.

FALL FESTIVAL – Victory’s Annual Fall Festival is 6-8 p.m. today. The event will feature food trucks, games, hot air balloon rides, zip-line, bounce houses, adult costume contest, a silent auction benefiting VCA and lots of candy.

FUNERAL for Ashley Greenfield Cichoracki, 34, of Alvord is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hawkins Chapel in Decatur with burial at Alvord Cemetery. Family visitation is 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

SERVICES for Marcelyn Caldwell, 90, and Karin Davidson, 65, both of Bridgeport are pending at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
