TEEN HURT IN CRASH – A two vehicle crash on Texas 199 near Farm Road 920 left one teen hospitalized early Christmas morning. Preliminary investigation indicates a 2018 International truck that was towing a trailer turned from a gas station to travel west on Texas 199 and failed to yield the right of way to a 1992 Chevrolet pickup, Department of Public Safety spokesperson Ricky Hunter said. Hunter said the pickup struck the rear of the trailer. First responders extricated the 13-year-old male passenger from the wreck. The teen in the pickup was transported to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth by ground ambulance. He had undisclosed injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet, Jeffrey Hoopman, 32, and the driver of the International, Anthony Godwin, 25, were not injured.
