911 SERVICE RESTORED – Wise County was among the 13 counties affected by a technical glitch that caused an outage of 911 service yesterday afternoon. According to the North Central Texas Council of Governments, the outage began just before noon, and normal operations resumed by 3:30 p.m. Wise County Emergency Management Coordinator Cody Powell said emergency calls still came to the Wise County Sheriff’s Office, but the calls were rerouted from the emergency line to the regular line. That meant dispatchers could not see the caller’s location.

CLAY SHOOT – Devon’s 11th annual Sporting Clay Shoot benefiting United Way is Friday, Sept. 21, at Fossil Pointe Sporting Grounds. Registration is at 8 a.m., and the shoot begins at 9. NORTHWEST FOOTBALL – Northwest will kick off this week’s high school football schedule when the Texans host Grapevine at 7 tonight at Northwest ISD Stadium.
