A Decatur woman was flown to Texas Health Fort Worth after an accident at the intersection of Walnut and Washburn streets in Decatur Sunday morning.
Nancy Burk, 49, was flown by Air Evac from Wise Health System with serious injuries. A passenger in Burk’s Chevrolet Colbalt, Annette Mara, 55, of Decatur, was transported by ambulance to Wise Health System with non-life threatening injuries.
Decatur Police Chief Rex Hoskins said Burk’s vehicle was headed west on Walnut at 10:25 a.m. when she pulled out to turn south onto Washburn, Business 380, in front of a Chrysler Pacifica driven by Annalysa Elledge, 29, of Decatur. Elledge’s vehicle struck the driver side of Burk’s vehicle.
Elledge and three children in the vehicle, two 4-year-olds and a 6-year-old, suffered only minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
