Decatur’s Christian Isaac left it all on the track on a steamy Saturday at the UIL track and field championships, finishing fourth in the 4A 800 at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Isaac was sitting in third place at the halfway point, but Big Spring’s Aaron Martinez passed the senior at the start of the last curve. Isaac’s time of 1:56.71 was nearly a second behind Martinez for bronze and 0.27 of a second shy of his personal best set at regionals.

La Feria’s Reyes Rodriguez claimed gold with a 1:54.81, while Carthage’s Tarik Rascoe was second with a 1:55.31.
