Track: Harvey finishes seventh

Northwest sophomore Jazzmine Harvey placed seventh Friday morning at the UIL state track and field meet in the Class 5A high jump.

Harvey cleared 5-4 on her third attempt. She missed all three tries at 5-6 and was one of four girls who went out at that height. She settled for seventh based on misses.

Lubbock Coronado’s NeNe Phenix won gold, jumping 5-8. She beat out Magnolia’s Alex Glover by an inch.
