Track: Eagles win Argyle Invitational – Lady Eagles take bronze at Thursday’s meet

The Decatur boys track team won the Argyle Invitational Thursday.

The Eagles piled up 153 points on the way to the crown.

Christian Isaac captured gold in the 800 with a time of 1:59.09. Triston Read clocked in at 2:02.13. Alan Rangel and Gabe Embree brought home the top two spots in the 3,200. Rangel led the pack in 10:03.37. Embree followed in 10:17.20.

Adam Martinez took silver in the 100, posting a time of 11.40. Christian Isaac finished second in the 400, crossing the finish line in 53.45. Rangel added to his medal count in the 1,600, finishing second in 4:37.78.

The Eagles won the 4×200, setting the pace with a 1:33.81. Decatur got second in the 4×400 and third in the 4×100.

Charles Doubrava earned silver in discus, notching a throw of 129-6. Isaac Hacker and Braden Snow placed second and third in the long jump. Hacker cleared 21-2, while Snow leaped 20-11. Hacker also got third in the triple jump with a leap of 41-0.5.

On the girls side, Highland Park dominated with a 183-point performance to earn first place. The Lady Eagles came in third with 102.

Decatur won the 4×100 with a time of 49.99. The Lady Eagles also won the 4×200, setting the pace at 1:47.15. They claimed bronze in the 4×400, clocking a finish of 4:09.60.

Makayla Gantt and Madison Kyle took first and second in the shot put. Gantt launched a throw of 35-2. Kyle’s was second with an effort of 33-3.5.

In the triple jump, Autumn Finney won silver with a leap of 33-9.

Mackenzie Whitaker took home a bronze medal in the 200 meters with a 27.36. Makenzie Fox also earned a bronze medal, running 49.68 in the 300 hurdles.
