Todd, Valtr named Co-MVP; 5 Lady Jackets earn district awards

Boyd seniors Jordyn Todd and Macee Valtr were named District 7-3A Co-MVPs after leading the Lady Jackets to their fourth straight league title.

Todd buried 148 kills and hit .350 in district play. She also blocked 22 shots, served 30 aces and made 146 digs.

Valtr landed 144 kills and hit .350.

The two seniors played pivotal roles in helping Boyd return to the state tournament for the second consecutive year.

Junior middle blocker Delaney Pellegrini was tabbed Offensive MVP, putting down 144 kills and hitting .400.

Fellow junior Tori Pellegrini earned Setter of the Year, dishing out 450 assists. Sophomore Rylee Spencer was Newcomer of the Year,

Senior Larrin Maxwell and junior Kamryn Frenzel earned first-team honors.

Maxwell made 173 digs and served 25 aces. Frenzel served 18 aces with 107 digs.

Paradise’s lone all-district selection was junior Ashley Kosman, who was tabbed to the second-team.

Setter of the Year: Tori Pellegrini, junior, Boyd

Newcomer of the Year: Rylee Spencer, sophomore, Boyd
