Softball: Lady Jackets roll Nocona

Kristin Rasbury threw a complete game as Boyd topped Nocona 13-5 last Friday.

Rasbury scattered five runs on three hits. She struck out eight and walked three.

Seven different Lady Jackets collected RBIs on the night. Boyd scored a run in every inning except the fourth. Kaylee Rutledge led the way at the plate, going 3-for-3. She drove in two.

Boyd is now 5-14 overall and 3-3 in District 8-3A. The Lady Jackets’ game on Tuesday at City View was rained out.


Alvord could not hold an early lead as Collinsville beat the Lady Bulldogs 13-3 on Monday.

Gracie Gose took the loss for Alvord. She lasted five innings, allowing 12 runs on 17 hits. She struck out three and walked one.

Collinsville did most of its damage in the third inning, scoring five runs in the frame.

The Lady Bulldogs fell to 3-4-1 with the loss. Alvord travels to Valley View on Friday.
