Soccer: Sissies, Lady Eagles earn all-district

Bridgeport’s Maddie Cross was named District 9-4A Offensive MVP and first-year coach Lauren Kirby was named Coach of the Year.

Cross was among the team leaders in goals scored and assists.

Kirby led the Sissies to their first district title and a 9-10-4 overall record.

Bridgeport’s Leilani Stone and Decatur’s Monica Lire were named Co-Defensive MVPs. Both girls anchored their team’s back lines.

Bridgeport’s Aubrey Powers, Ashley Ingram, Bekah Powers, Clara Ortiz and Bre Martinez were named to the first team. Mary Faith Tune and Carlie Clark were tabbed to the first-team for the Lady Eagles.
