Soccer: Bridgeport handles Decatur, stays unbeaten

The Bridgeport boys soccer team recorded its ninth clean sheet of the season, knocking off Decatur 5-0 Tuesday in the first of three meetings between the teams.

Juan Amador had four goals including one on a bicycle kick off a header from Edward Rodriguez.

Milton Iniguez scored Bridgeport’s other goal.

The Bulls are now 12-2 on the year and have won five matches in a row. Bridgeport is 3-0 in District 3-4A.


The Bridgeport girls soccer team beat Decatur 2-0 on Tuesday night behind a pair of goals from Clara Ortiz.

Maddie Cross and Savannah Tuggle assisted on the goals. Goalie Aubrey Powers kept a clean sheet the entire match.

The Sissies move to 2-1 in District 3-4A with the win.
