Pilot Point shut out Paradise in the second half Friday to pick up a key District 4-3A Division I win, 27-7.

The Bearcat defense held the Panthers to just 154 yards of offense, as Paradise struggled to maintain a rhythm offensively. Jace Essig scored the Panthers’ lone touchdown of the game on a 2-yard scamper with five seconds left in the first half.

Pilot Point’s balanced offensive attack racked up 527 yards and picked up 25 first downs.

Paradise fell to 4-4 overall and 1-3 in District 3-4A with the loss and has now dropped two games in a row.
