Jacksboro fends off Paradise

Jacksboro ran out to a 19-0 halftime lead behind a pair of touchdown runs from Brayden Pewitt.

The Tigers churned out 244 yards on the ground, rolling to a 33-21 victory over the Paradise Panthers.

The loss was the Panthers’ first of the year, dropping them to 2-1.

Paradise tried to rally in the second half, scoring twice in the fourth quarter. Jace Essig scored a 1-yard run and threw a 33-yard touchdown to Pacer Ryle.

Essig finished with 83 yards rushing and threw for 124, completing 12 of his 22 attempts.

Jack Ishmael scored the Panthers’ other touchdown on a 58-yard run.

Paradise ran for 229 yards.
