Jones scored the all-star game’s final touchdown on a 2-yard plunge with 2:05 remaining, the last of 28 unanswered East points. He did most of his damage on a 43-yard jaunt late in the third quarter that set up a touchdown, increasing the East’s lead to 21-6.

Jones was one of seven Wise County players who represented the East, which dominated by outgaining the West in yardage, 419-15. Bridgeport’s Colton Waters caught two passes for 18 yards, while high school teammate Michael Cole had one reception for nine yards.

Decatur’s Cole Denman, Dylan Nation and Ty Watson plus Bridgeport’s Caleb Jennings also contributed to the victory.
