Boyd’s Kody Risenhoover completed only three passes against the Pilot Point Bearcats’ defense Friday night.

But the senior quarterback made them count. He connected for a pair of touchdowns and added another on the ground as the Boyd Yellowjackets stunned Pilot Point 20-14 at Massey Stadium.

Boyd (5-2) moved to 2-0 in 4-3A Division I. The Yellowjackets take on Bowie next week.

Risenhoover finished 3-for-12 through the air for 162 yards. He added 110 yards rushing, including a 27-yard touchdown in the third quarter that put the Yellowjackets up 20-7.

Boyd finished with 329 yards. The Yellowjacket defense turned in a stellar performance, holding Pilot Point to 230 yards and forcing a turnover.
Boyd took a lead in the opening frame with Risenhoover connecting with Jason King for an 85-yard touchdown.

After Pilot Point took a 7-6 lead in the second quarter, Boyd responded just before half. Risenhoover hit Brian Couture for a 22-yard touchdown.
