Basketball: Slidell blasts Bellevue

Slayton Pruett scored a game-high 22 points as the Slidell Greyhounds beat Bellevue 62-42 Tuesday night. Pruett shot 58.3 percent from the field in the victory.

Slidell built a 33-15 halftime advantage and never relinquished it. The Greyhounds only outscored the Eagles by two in the final two quarters.

Layton Shelton poured in 20 points for Slidell.

ALVORD 61, TRENTON 45

The Alvord Bulldogs knocked off Trenton 61-45 behind 14 points from Treyson Chambers.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 19-12 lead after one quarter. Alvord continued to add to its lead, taking a 52-37 advantage into the final frame.

Jayton Malone added 11 points. He also knocked down three 3-pointers.

PARADISE 51, CITY VIEW 36

Danny Richardson poured in 28 points as the Paradise Panthers evened their record in District 8-3A with a 51-36 win over City View Tuesday.

Richardson drained six 3-pointers.

WF RIDER 49, BRIDGEPORT 44

Rider outscored Bridgeport 17-12 in the fourth quarter to pull out a 49-44 victory Tuesday.

The game was tied at 33 heading to the fourth quarter.

Zane Morrow led the Bulls with 20 points. Andrew Horton added 14 and Drew Carstens 10.
