The Krum Lady Bobcats beat the Bridgeport Sissies for a second time in three days to take the third seed out of District 9-4A Friday night.

Rhett Robinson scored nine of her game-high 14 points in the second quarter as Krum pulled ahead for good in a 33-29 victory in the league tiebreaker at Decatur High School.

“It’s hard to play back-to-back like we did, knowing it will be a physical game,” said Krum coach Lana Degelia. “We’re finally getting a little momentum. Hopefully we’ll peak at the right time.”

Krum played Wilmer-Hutchins Tuesday at Haltom High School in the 4A Region II bi-district round.

Krum hit five 3-pointers in the first half. Robinson drained a pair of treys as Krum opened up a 24-18 halftime lead with a 12-6 run.

“We knocked down some big shots and got some scoring off the bench,” Degelia said.

Bridgeport pulled within four late, but missing its leading scorer Emily Vidal, could not get closer.

“The kids did a good job. We’re missing a big offensive presence,” said Bridgeport coach Dallas Taylor. “It was a good night to get a look at some different rotations and get ready for Tuesday.”

Bridgeport took on 10-4A champion Dallas Lincoln at Azle Tuesday in the bi-district round.

Ashley Ingram led Bridgeport with 12 points.
