Baseball: Decatur rallies to beat Burkburnett

The Decatur Eagles overcame a 6-1 deficit to get the win Monday against Burkburnett in extra innings 11-10.

Decatur scored seven runs in the fifth and got the winning run in the 10th inning on a sacrifice fly by Halen Fletcher.

Roman Fuller started the game for the Eagles, surrendering five runs on three hits over three innings. He struck out four and walked four.

Nick Birmingham threw four innings in relief, only allowing one hit.

It was the Eagles’ second straight, extra-inning, one-run win. Decatur (11-6) beat Kennedale 1-0 Saturday behind four hitless innings tossed by Wilson Hicks. The lefty struck out three and walked three. Bodi Rascon and Beau Bedford combined for five innings of scoreless relief.

Eddie Fernandez drove in the lone run on a RBI-single in the ninth to score Rascon.

The Eagles host Stephenville Saturday.
