Baseball: Bridgeport edges Dallas Pinkston

Corbin Bailey pitched five innings of relief Tuesday, earning the win in Bridgeport’s 7-3 victory over Dallas Pinkston.

Bailey gave up one run, striking out six and walking five. He also went 2-for-2 at the plate, driving home two runs on a sacrifice fly.

Connor Holzer started the game for the Bulls, lasting one and two-thirds innings. He gave up two runs on one hit, striking out two.


The Boyd Yellowjackets weren’t able to overcome an early deficit Wednesday, falling to Holliday 7-5.

Boyd fell behind 4-1 going into the fourth inning, as the Eagles plated three runs in the third inning.

Alex Booth suffered the loss for the Yellowjackets. He pitched three innings, surrendering five runs on three hits. Dylan Couture went 2-for-4 at the dish.


Paradise outhit Holliday but couldn’t plate more than a run in a 4-1 loss.

The Eagles were held to five hits on the afternoon. Paradise tallied eight.

Mikey Passariello took the loss for the Panthers. He allowed four runs on five hits over five and two-thirds innings. He struck out four.

Bridger Skogberg, Will Reeves and Mitchell Sellers each had multi-hit afternoons for Paradise.
