Jerod Blanks struck out 15 as Chico beat rival Alvord 4-1 Tuesday.

Blanks scattered six hits and one run over six and two-thirds innings. He walked one.

Clayton Machal got the start for the Bulldogs. He gave up five hits and no runs in five innings.

Ace Edgett entered in relief for Alvord, surrendering four runs on five hits in two innings. The Dragons scored three of their runs in the seventh inning to pull away.


Ennis blanked Bridgeport 10-0 Tuesday.

Connor Holzer suffered the loss for the Bulls. He lasted five innings, giving up 10 runs on 12 hits. He struck out three.

Corbin Bailey had Bridgeport’s only hit of the game in the fourth inning.

The Bulls host Castleberry today (Saturday).


Boston McIntire threw a complete game shutout Tuesday, leading Boyd to a 4-0 victory over rival Paradise.

McIntire struck out 10 in seven innings of work, surrendering just three hits.

Dylan Couture went 2-for-2 at the plate for Boyd. Rustyn Ellis plated a run on a sacrifice bunt in the second inning. The Yellowjackets scored three runs in the frame.

Mikey Passariello took the loss for Paradise.

Boyd hosted Nocona on Friday. The Panthers hosted City View.
