Alvord, Chico and Slidell will find themselves at a different venue Monday for their region races.

Heavy rains and flooding forced officials to move the Region II 6A-2A and Region III 1A races from Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie to the Jesse Owens Complex in Dallas.

Chico finished second behind Poolville at the District 11-2A meet last week. Raul Warnock took silver, clocking an 18:15 in the 5K. The Alvord Bulldogs finished third, winning a tiebreaker with Era to advance.

Tucker Wicks was Alvord’s top finisher, finishing 15th with a 20:50.

The Lady Bulldogs will also compete at regionals. They finished second at district, led by Amber Carpenter’s third-place finish.

The Slidell Greyhounds claimed their 10th consecutive league title, winning the District 22-A championships to advance to regionals.

Easton Vanover was the Hounds’ top finisher, taking second with a 19:27.

The Lady Hounds finished second in district and also qualified for regionals. Kristal Gladden took silver with a 14:14.
