Ten-year-old Caden Cobb of Decatur won the speed portion of the MLB pitch, hit and run competition put on by Denton Boys Baseball and D Bat March 24.

The baseball skills contest measures the accuracy of pitches, distance they can hit the ball and speed running from second base to home plate.

As a 9-year-old, Caden won the pitching portion of the contest and went on to compete in the regional competition at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco. Caden will once again advance to the regional level.

Caden is the son of Cody and Jessica Cobb.
