#1 DECATUR SWIRL

A night of food, shopping and of course, wine, returns to the Decatur Square Saturday. Guests will be able to swirl around the square and enjoy savory samples from local eateries paired with Texas wines. The Swirl After Party will feature music from Zac Wilkerson.

All proceeds benefit Decatur Main Street. Tickets for the eighth annual event are available at decaturswirl.com for $29.99. Tickets are $35 at the door. Early bird VIP tickets are $60.

#2 MUSEUM OPEN HOUSE

This year marks the 125th anniversary of the completion of the building currently occupied by the Wise County Heritage Museum.

The former administration building for the Northwest Texas Baptist College and Decatur Baptist College was completed in 1893. The Decatur Baptist College began 120 years ago in 1898.

To celebrate the two milestones, the Wise County Historical Society will hold a free come-and-go open house 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the museum. Donations will be accepted.

#3 DEER SEASON OPENS

Hunters have been prepping for months, planting food plots, filling feeders and sighting in rifles. All that hard work will pay off Saturday – the opening day of white-tailed deer season.

The season runs through Jan. 6, 2019.
