#1: JERRY ASKEY MEMORIAL FARM FESTIVAL

The annual Jerry Askey Farm Festival returns Thursday through Saturday to the New Fairview area.

The three-day event organized by the Chisholm Trail Tractor Club Branch 112 will feature tractor pulls and a monster truck show.

The event is at 635 Private Road 4531. The cost if $5 per person.

#2: DECATUR COMMUNITY MARKET

The Decatur Community Market will be at the Wise County Fairgrounds Saturday.

The market opens at 9 a.m. and will feature vendors selling local produce and local crafts. A butterfly tree honoring fallen veterans will also be built.

#3: BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL PLAYOFFS

The Decatur Eagles and Lady Eagles continue their march through the playoffs.

The Lady Eagles will face Rusk in a 4A Region II semifinal series at Rockwall. Game 1 is 7 p.m. Thursday. Game 2 is 7 p.m. Friday. The third game, if necessary, is 7 p.m. Saturday.

The Eagles will take on Crandall at McKinney North in a 4A Region II quarterfinal series. The series opener is 7 p.m. Thursday. Game 2 is slated fro 7 p.m. Friday and the third game, if necessary, is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
