Weekend Reunion

#1 OLD SETTLERS REUNION

Wise County’s weeklong party at the Old Settlers Reunion will gets started next weekend with campers dinner and cabins decorating contest Sunday.

Reunion officially starts Monday and will run through July 28 with nightly events, including the Decatur Chamber of Commerce “Put Yo Money Where Yo Mouth is” Washer Tournament Tuesday.

Weekend Motorcycle

#2 FLY RACING INTERNATIONAL MOTOCROSS

Get your motor running and head to Oak Hill Raceway for a weekend full of high-flying, thrilling motocross action.

Riders will be at the raceway on County Road 1270 in Alvord for the 42nd Fly Racing International Motocross Final. Practice will be held Saturday and racing will be throughout Sunday.

Admission for the event is $15.

Weekend Splash

#3 SPLASH DAY AT DECATUR MARKET

With temperatures expected to soar well into the triple digits, any way to cool down is welcome.

Decatur Market Days will be trying to help from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at its Splash Day at the Wise County Fairgrounds.

The event will feature a 31-foot water slide. There will also be a watermelon eating contest. Local produce and arts and crafts will be available for purchase.
