#1 WISE COUNTY MARKET DAYS IN BRIDGEPORT

Wise County Market Days teamed up with the city of Bridgeport, Economic Development Corp. and Main Street for a Friday night event.

It kicks off this week at the corner of 12th and Halsell Streets, open 5 to 9 p.m. It’s planned to be open every Friday, as long as produce is available.

The market will feature fresh produce, free range eggs, local raised beef and lamb, local honey, jelly and jams, plus baked goods and pickles. It’s a full meal deal. Check it out!

Color run

#2 RUN FOR THE CLOVERS COLOR RUN

Wise County 4-H’s Run for the Clovers Color Run is Saturday at McCarroll Middle School.

The event will include a 5K and 1-mile family fun run, both with multiple color stations promising a rainbow-dipped finish.

The 5K starts at 7:30 a.m., and the 1-mile at 8. Proceeds benefit local charities.

Sign up at wcmess.com/runforclovers. Early registration is $10 for kids and $15 for adults. Prices go up on the day of the event. If you have questions, call 940-627-3341.

Fish Fry

#3 BENEFIT FISH FRY

A fundraiser and silent auction will be held 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Cowboy Church in Decatur, 4789 FM 730, for Behrin Brown.

Brown was born with a stage 2 laryngeal cleft. He will travel to Boston late this summer to the Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center at Children’s Hospital of Boston to undergo surgery to repair his cleft.

Tickets are $10 at the door. Donations are accepted. T-shirts and bracelets will be available for purchase.
