#2 THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS

Imagine 50 singers, a children’s choir and a dazzling 30-foot tree.

All of those elements, as well as beautiful pageantry and traditional Christmas music, are part of “The Gift of Christmas,” a holiday extravaganza at the First Baptist Church of Decatur next weekend.

The show is at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Free tickets can be picked up at the church office, 1200 Preskitt Road. Large groups are encouraged to call the church at 940-627-3235 to reserve seats.

Christmas night out

#3 CHRISTMAS NIGHT OUT

Finish your Christmas shopping Thursday at Christmas Night Out in downtown Bridgeport.

From 5 to 7 p.m., shoppers can sip wassail on Halsell, follow the Christmas Cookie Crawl and even get their photo taken with Santa’s sleigh.

Of course, there will also be plenty of time to shop and grab a bite to eat before going home to settle in for a long winter’s nap.
