Drag out those ugly sweaters one last time and any unwanted gifts.

Nock It Archery Center is having a special shoot Saturday. Wear an ugly sweater or use one as a target. You can also bring a wrapped, unwanted gift to exchange for, hopefully, a better unwanted gift.

Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for kids. RSVP by calling 940-627-6622.

Nock It’s disclaimer: “We will be shooting sweaters that are NOT worn by people or living things.” (Good to know.)

Contra Dance

Contra dance. The Big White Barn is having a contra holiday dance 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Contra is a folk dance made up of long lines of couples. Dance callers will teach the dances; no experience (or date!) is required. Dress is “casual modest.” That’s modest like, “Please, no booty shorts.” Not modest like “Wear your burka.” (Their words, not ours.)

Cost is $5 per person or $20 per family. Kids are welcome. Just bring a drink or dessert to share.
