Fourth Fest

#1 FOURTH FEST

The town of Runaway Bay will offer a day full of activities Saturday to celebrate Independence Day.

The day starts with a three-man scramble at the Club at Runaway Bay at 9 a.m. The 42nd Fourth Fest Parade gets rolling at 5:30 p.m. at the city barn and will end at the Bay Community Church grounds. The fireworks over Lake Bridgeport will begin shortly after dark.

Football

#2 7-ON-7 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Bridgeport and Decatur will head to College Station Thursday and Friday to compete in the Division II 7-on-7 state championships.

The two Wise County teams will duke it out with 46 other qualifiers in the touch football passing championships.

The championships are held at Veterans Park and Athletic Complex.

Fireworks

#3 VICTORY FIREWORKS OVER DECATUR

Victory Church will hold its annual fireworks show Saturday on its grounds.

The festivities begin at 7 p.m. with bounce houses, water slides, live music and food trucks.

Parking is $15 per vehicle and all proceeds will benefit 1000 Miles Till Home.
