A Paradise man was killed in a two-vehicle wreck in Parker County Saturday.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Ricky Hunter, the crash happened on Texas 199, east of Big Salty Road and just south of the Wise/Parker County line near Springtown, around 10:15 a.m.

Hunter said preliminary investigation indicates a 2000 Honda passenger car, driven by 39-year-old Stephanie Wells of Springtown, was traveling east on Texas 199. Wells attempted to turn into a driveway but failed to yield the right of way to a westbound 2017 Yamaha motorcycle operated by Michael Wheeler, 55, of Paradise. Wheeler took evasive action to avoid the Honda but struck the right rear of the vehicle, Hunter said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other injuries as a result of the crash.

Funeral arrangements for Wheeler were pending Monday at Jones Family Funeral Home in Decatur.
