Wise County commissioners Monday will interview candidates for the 911 addressing job.

The interviews will be during closed session of the commissioners’ regularly scheduled meeting. County Judge J.D. Clark said Friday he’s hopeful they will hire someone before the meeting adjourns.

The position was left vacant when department head Phyllis Shaw retired in January.

Commissioners will also meet in closed session to discuss “real property.”

Other items on the agenda include multiple plats and discussion of a possible veterans court program with the county attorney’s office.

The meeting starts at 9 a.m. in the third-floor conference room of the Wise County Courthouse. It’s open to the public.
