Carri Eddy opened Eaton High School in 2015 as its first principal.

After three years, Eddy is leaving the campus prior to the start of the school year to become Northwest ISD’s new executive director of student services.

Eddy was named to the post by Northwest ISD trustees during a special meeting last week.

“I am excited to begin this new position with the school district,” Eddy said in a press release. “I will miss my Eaton High School community and will always be an Eagle at heart. I look forward to working with all of the campuses in Northwest ISD as we prepare students to be ready for all life has to offer.”

Prior to joining Northwest ISD, Eddy served as the director of secondary campus services and principal of Utley Middle School in the Rockwall ISD. She also worked in Forney ISD and Mesquite ISD as a teacher, high school assistant principal, fine arts coordinator, registrar and safety officer.

Eddy was one of five finalists for the HEB Excellence in Education Award for Secondary Principal of the Year in 2012-13.

Eddy started her new role immediately. The district was expected to name her replacement Monday night.
