Bridgeport’s 36th annual Butterfield Stage Days Festival is Saturday at Harwood Park, but the weekend is full of events celebrating Bridgeport’s heritage.

The carnival in the park opens Thursday and will run through Saturday night, and the Stage Days parade is Friday at 5:30 p.m. through downtown Bridgeport.

The festival begins 10 a.m. Saturday with the pet parade and contest at Harwood Park and the Little Miss and Mr. Butterfield Pageant at the Arcadia Theater, followed by judging for the Butterfield Stage Days BBQ Cook-Off.

Food, home and craft vendors will set up tents, and there will be bounce houses, bingo, a deejay, a photo area and a kid zone.

The Butterfield Stage Days PRCA Ram Rodeo starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 917 Farm Road 2123. Tickets are $12, and kids under 12 get in free.
