Five people were arrested on drug charges following a search of a Decatur home Thursday morning.

According to Wise County Sheriff Lane Akin, sheriff’s deputies and investigators executed a search warrant on a North Cowan Street residence around 5 a.m. The search resulted in the discovery of approximately 170 grams of methamphetamine and suspected packaging material used to distribute methamphetamine.

James Bisidas, 57, and Amanda Clawson, 38, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine, 4-200 grams, a second degree felony.

Matthew Stack, 38, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, 1-4 grams, a third degree felony.

Xavier Odell, 39, and Heather Johnston, 25, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine, less than 1 gram, a state jail felony.

All five are Decatur residents. All remained in the Wise County Jail Friday. Bisidas, Clawson, Stack and Odell had bonds set at $12,000. Johnston had bond set at $10,000.

“Methamphetamine use and trafficking remains a primary focus of law enforcement across North Texas. We attribute most of our thefts and burglaries to methamphetamine users,” Akin said in a written statement regarding the arrests.
