ASK AN ATTORNEY – Decatur Medical Lodge is having free Ask an Attorney sessions Thursday with Travis Weaver, who focuses on elder law. BACK THE BLUE GOLF TOURNEY – The Decatur Police Department’s fourth annual Back the Blue Glow Ball golf tournament is Saturday at Bridgeport Country Club. The four-person best ball tournament starts at 4 p.m. Registration is $50 per person or $200 per team and includes a meal, glow balls and prizes. CITIZENS ACADEMY – Decatur Police Department is presenting its Citizen Police Academy class. The free 13-week program will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays at the police department. DOMINOES ANYONE? – Anybody who plays 42 or would like to learn is invited to the Decatur Senior Citizen Center at 6 p.m. on Thursdays. The center is located at 1200 N. Miller St.

DECATUR FARMERS MARKET – The Decatur Farmers Market will reopen 8 a.m. Saturday at the Wise County Fairgrounds with a selection of fall produce along with local honey, baked goods, jams, pickles, farm raised beef, free range eggs and artisan goods. The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection will offer low-cost vaccinations from 10 a.m. to noon.

OPEN HOUSE – An open house and ribbon cutting for Jenny’s Hope in the new offices of Wise County Christian Counseling 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at 1650 S. FM 51, Suite 400.


MAIN STREET FESTIVAL – Vendors are needed for the 12th Annual Paradise Main Street Festival sponsored by the Paradise Historical Society 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 29. BENEFIT SHOOT – A clay shoot and silent auction for Feeding Wise Kids is Friday at Fossil Pointe Sporting Grounds, 7282 FM 51, just outside Decatur. STREET DANCE – A street dance benefiting all Wise County fire departments is 8 to 11 p.m. Oct. 6 on the Decatur Square. Admission is free, but money will be raised through a silent auction, raffle and donations. The family friendly event will have food trucks and live music by Zac Wilkerson and Zach Nytomt.

BEE CLUB – The Wise Texas Bee Club meets at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the Bridgeport Library.
