Maria and Luis Alvarez of Decatur announce the birth of a daughter, Miriam Isabella, Aug. 29, 2018, at Wise Health System in Decatur.

She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long.

She has a brother, Gabriel, 4; and a sister, Hope, 2.
