“Michael Rhine was chosen for Victory Christian Academy’s student spotlight because of his great attitude and his willingness to serve. Since Michael first started school at VCA in 2010, he has always displayed a great positive attitude. Michael always has a smile and is very polite and respectful when he responds to his peers and teachers. Michael shows his commitment to God by his service at the school and church. Michael works weekly to prepare for VCA’s chapel where he presents the announcements and helps with technology. Michael also serves in many areas at Victory Church. Michael has also been in VCA’s mentor program where he has helped younger students understand and apply biblical principles in everyday life. We are very proud of Michael Rhine at VCA and know that God has great plans for his future.” – Principal Scott Stanford

EXPERIENCE: Plano ISD, second grade and GT; Paradise ISD, GT and elementary counselor; Bridgeport ISD, middle school English, GT, high school counselor

HOBBIES: spending time with family, church at Decatur Bible Church, crafts, antiques and traveling

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE EDUCATION AS A PROFESSION?: “I started teaching at the YMCA at 15 years old. Teaching and counseling have always been my passion. I’ve been blessed to work with children and students grades K-12. After retiring in May 2018 with 29 years full-time public education, I still choose education and am grateful for an opportunity to serve as high school counselor at Victory Christian Academy.”
