WHY DID YOU CHOOSE EDUCATION AS A PROFESSION?

“I have always loved everything about learning and going to school since I was very young. I had 13 years of perfect attendance K through 12 because I didn’t want to miss anything. As I grew older, I had a very inspiring high school English teacher, Mr. Bell, who encouraged me to follow my love of writing and literature by becoming an English teacher. He was a great role model.

“The most rewarding part of teaching is not always the impression and influence you have on students, but the reverse: the impression and influence they have on you. I think both groups have much to learn from each other, and that’s what I like most about teaching.”
