RED RIBBON WEEK – Red Ribbon Week is Oct. 22-26.


BMS YEARBOOKS – Bridgeport Middle School yearbooks are for sale now on the Jostens website. Go to the middle school’s home page for the link.

PICTURE DAY – Bridgeport Elementary School’s picture day is Thursday.

RED RIBBON WEEK – Red Ribbon Week is Oct. 22-26.

FUN RUN – The Bridgeport Intermediate Fun Run is Oct. 24.


FALL CONCERT – The Middle School band, choir and jazz band will hold their fall concert at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

HOMECOMING PARADE – The Chico homecoming parade is 1:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and will conclude at Dragon Stadium with a pep rally at 3 p.m. Classes will dismiss at noon.


SPIRIT TABLES – Young Elementary PTO has a spirit table every Friday 7:20 a.m. until the bell rings. Items are priced from 50 cents to $15 and include things like foam fingers, bracelets, T-shirts, megaphones and more. Carson Elementary PTO has a spirit table every Friday 7:30 to 8 a.m.

FUN RUN – The Young Elementary Fun Run is Oct. 26. Rann Elementary will have its Fun Run Nov. 2.

PICTURE RETAKES – Decatur High School picture retakes are Wednesday.

RED RIBBON WEEK – Red Ribbon Week is Oct. 22-26.

CHOIR CONCERT – The Decatur Intermediate’s sixth grade fall choir concert is 6 p.m. Oct. 25.

SOCK HOP – Rann Elementary students are encouraged to wear 1950s attire for the 50th Day of School sock hop Oct. 25.

SPOOKTAKULAR – The Rann Elementary Spooktakular fall festival and science extravaganza is 6-8 p.m. Oct. 25.

STEM DAY – Fourth graders will attend STEM Day at Weatherford College Oct. 25.


COLLEGE AND CAREER FAIR – Northwest ISD will host its annual College and Career Fair from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at Northwest High School. and feature several breakout sessions with vital information and training on a variety of college- and career-focused topics.

FINANCE TALK – Superintendent Ryder Warren will host a Facebook Live video chat session on the district’s Facebook account on Oct. 24, addressing the state of school finance in Texas. The session will take place at 6:30 p.m.


HOMEWORK HELPERS – Paradise Elementary School has a room set aside to assist students with homework. Students will also be able to take AR tests during this time. Due to space, it’s limited to the first 30 students who ask for a pass.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS – Paradise Intermediate School needs parent volunteers. Pick up an application in the front office. For information, email jdowler@pisd.net.

BOOK FAIR – The book fair at Paradise Intermediate runs through Friday.

LETTER JACKETS – Letter jackets are scheduled to arrive Thursday during lunch.

DANCE CAMP – The Lil’ Rhinestones Dance Camp is Oct. 26 for girls age 4 to fifth grade. After a clinic at 4 p.m., the camp’s students will perform at the football game. The cost is $35. Call Susie Gayan, 940-969-5012.


FFA FUNDRAISER – Slidell FFA students are selling meat and desserts through Thursday. Orders will be delivered by Thanksgiving. Contact any FFA student or Ethan Fortenberry at efortenberry@slidellisd.net.

BOOK FAIR – The Scholastic book fair will run through Friday.

EARLY DISMISSAL – Classes will be dismissed early Friday.
