Hobbies: Milagros loves eating spaghetti and going to the movies. She loves animals and dreams of being a veterinarian. She also loves to read.

“Milagros is an amazing young lady. She is sweet, polite and always helpful. She always has a smile on her face and brightens up all of our days. After school, she helps in the office and has such a positive attitude. Her teacher says that she is a blessing to have in the class because she is so positive. Milagros is a great leader, has a beautiful smile and is an all-around excellent student. Rann is a better place because Milagros is here!” – Principal Roby Nunn

“This students was chosen for many reasons. She is a shining star in the classroom and beyond. She has been an announcer for our morning announcements several times during this six weeks. Each time she brings a high level of enthusiasm and energy to our daily news. In the classroom, she is eager to learn and contributes to class discussions. She is an excellent example of a Decatur Intermediate School student. She received a “D” card for excellent behavior for the first six weeks. Position: Algebra II teacher, coach

Family: wife, Jackie, daughter, Hattie, 6, and son, Hut, 1.

Experience: 14 years as teacher and coach, fifth year at Decatur

Hobbies: Fellowship of Christian Athletes Huddle Coach, active member of Crossroads Church and spending time with family.

Why did you choose education as a profession: “It’s a calling. The Lord called me to coaching and teaching, and I’m blessed to be doing that in Decatur. I’m really thankful to be here.”
