Favorite subject: mathematics

Hobbies: Ximena loves all kinds of activities, but her favorite extracurricular activity is basketball.

She is always the first person to volunteer to assist with any task and is always looking for ways to help her teachers and friends. Ximena never lets anyone feel alone. Tammy Dean

Position: Seventh and eighth grade ELAR/ESL teacher

Family: Husband George Dean; sons Joshua Beckworth, Shelby Beckworth and Dylan Sanders; and stepdaughters Bailey, Macy and Madi Dean.

Experience: 12 years

Hobbies: reading, thifting for vintage items and spending time with my family.

Why did you choose education as a profession: “I am from Chico and, I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the community. I chose my educational path knowing that Chico was where I wanted to be. I love teaching and the greatest reward is to see my students’ successes and achievements.”

Kim Williams

Kim Williams

Position: English/theater arts

Family: I have an 18-year old son who attends Tarrant County Community College

Experience: I have been involved in theater most of my life. I have been in the education field for 22 years.

Hobbies: “I love to read and take care of plants. I go to the theater as often as I can.”

Why did you choose education as a profession: “While it was not my original plan, I am so glad I get to spend my days watching kids smile when they finally understand something.”
