FAMILY: Husband, Matthew; children, Madison, 8, Aiden, 5.

EXPERIENCE: Fourth year at Bridgeport, and taught one year in St. Louis Public Schools

HOBBIES: Running, reading, spending time with my family, traveling (especially to the beach 🙂

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE EDUCATION AS A PROFESSION?: “I love to work with kids and get them excited about science! I think that by showing them how cool science is, the more they are inspired to enter a scientific field in the future. I also love coaching my girls in track. They’re fun and I love seeing them accomplish their goals!”

EXPERIENCE: One year teaching first grade on an Indian Reservation in South Dakota, 21 years at Bridgeport ISD, 20 in third grade and one in second grade

HOBBIES: Watching my kids play sports, reading and gardening

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE EDUCATION AS A PROFESSION?: “For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a teacher. No other profession ever crossed my mind! I love knowing that students that leave my classroom have gained something that will stay with them forever and every day is different and full of surprises!”
