Robert Adwin Currie

Robert Adwin Currie, 84, of Fort Worth, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, in Fort Worth.

Memorial service is 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Robert was born Feb. 14, 1933, in Midland to Oliver and Florence (Kilcrease) Currie. He married Toyo Miyagi April 7, 1967, in Okinawa, Japan. Robert was a member of the United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, Veterans Group – Fort Worth and the Ham Radio Association – Radio Call: KK5FF. He wrote poetry and served in the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters AnnLaura Rogers and Jean Smith.

Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years; daughter Suzanne Webb and husband, Brian, of Oklahoma City; son Bob Currie and wife, Wendy, of Frisco; grandchildren Brandon Webb, Brooke Webb, Bailey Webb, Blake Webb, Chance Currie and Ashley Currie; brother Jason Currie and wife, Donna, of Decatur; sisters Dolly Crites and husband, Billy, of Rhome, Janice Moore of Houston, Bonnie Johnson of Grand Prairie and Georgia Currie of Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
