Ray Douglas Molloy

Ray Douglas ‘Doug’ Molloy, 87, of Bridgeport, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, in Decatur.

Services for will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at First Baptist Church Bridgeport, with Dr. Craig Erb officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Star Cemetery, between Chico and Decatur.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

He was born June 12, 1931, in Lone Star to Jack and Nora Mae (Wallace) Molloy. Doug was the owner of Bridgeport Pump and Supply and Jacksboro Pump and Specialty. Doug was a citizen of Wise County for over 60 years. He had been a member of First Baptist Church Bridgeport since 1963.

Doug served two terms on the Bridgeport School Board. He was a member of Bridgeport ISD’s Wall of Fame and of the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Scott Douglas Molloy; and brother Gween Molloy.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sharron Molloy of Bridgeport; son Alan Molloy and wife, Rhonda, of Bridgeport; daughter Jana (Molloy) Burns and husband, Roy, of Saginaw; stepson Dwane Thomas of Bridgeport; stepdaughter Sheira Petty and husband, Jeff, of Mansfield; brother Gene Paul Molloy and wife, Francine, of Tyler; sister-in-law Carolyn Molloy of Bridgeport; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
