Kathryn Stricklin

Kathryn “Kay” Stricklin, 97, died Friday, March 16, 2018, in Alvord.

Funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Living Word Assembly of God Church in Alvord with the Rev. Phil Weisner officiating. Visitation is 10 a.m. at the church.

Graveside service is 1 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at the Alexander Family Cemetery in Cochran County.

White Family Funeral Home in Bowie is handling arrangements.

Kathryn was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Kosciusko, Miss., to William and Emma (Neal) Parrish. Kathryn was a member of Living Word Assembly of God Church and belonged to the women’s prayer chain.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Stricklin; sons Edwin and Johnny Stricklin; granddaughter Wendie Alexander; grandson Dave Alexander; her parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

Kathryn is survived by her son, Tommy Stricklin of Alvord; daughter Lyndia Alexander and husband, David, of Morton; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister Mary Savage of Denison.
