June Lavell Mann

June Lavell Mann, 87, of Decatur, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, in Decatur.

Funeral was Dec. 3 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with Dr. Van Gardner officiating. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers included James Davidson, Landon Banks, Greg Arrington, Lonnie Roberson, Ronnie Roberson and Larry Roberson.

Lavell was born May 14, 1931, in Fort Worth to William Lon and Bertha Ardella (Whetsell) Roberson. She married Billy Joe Mann Sept. 6, 1948, in Decatur. The couple moved back to Decatur when Bill retired from the U.S. Air Force. They owned and operated the M&M Food Mart from 1970 to 1987. She joined the Order of the Eastern Star while her husband was stationed in Germany in 1965. Lavell became a member of Decatur of Eastern Star No. 543 and Boyd No. 897, and received her 50-year pin in 2016. Lavell was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years.

She is survived by her son, Rick Mann and wife, Claire, of Friendswood; four grandchildren; sister Marcine Rebstock of Lewisville; and sister-in-law Linda Roberson of Sherwood, Ark.
