Jimmy Walker Sr.

Jimmy Walker Sr., 68, of Sunset, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, in Sunset.

His wishes were for a private burial with only his wife Brenda at Pleasant Hill Cemetery overlooking his farm. He wanted family and friends to remember him the last time they saw him.

He was born Sept. 4, 1949, to Junior Lee and Jaunell Whatley. He graduated Alvord High School in 1968. He retired from National Sprinkler Fitters in 2003. He married Brenda Hesteande April 1, 2002. He was a simple, God-fearing man who enjoyed family, friends, camping, hunting and good food.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife; mother Jaunell Walker; sisters Janice Pritchett and husband, Tommy, of Alvord and Lou Tyler and husband, Mike, of Frederick, Okla.; step-daughters Angela McDonald and husband, Jeff, of Meyersville and Stephanie McGarvey of Decatur; stepgrandchildren Aaron Alcorn and wife, Mariah, of USAF, Cole Alcorn and Jackson McDonald of Meyersville, Ava Walker of Chico and Josephine McGarvey of Decatur; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
